Because the answer may not be what you expect it to be, you will be able to get a lot of learning out of this as well.We have all been there, at some point in time we have gotten a great question in our life about something we are studying. I can remember a question I had about what the Lord would have us do with a man who had cancer. The question was very simple, where would I send the sick man if he had a terminal illness? The quick answer was probably not anywhere because the sick man would die.The question was asked to a verse in scripture about feeding the hungry and clothing the naked, well those questions cannot be answered right away because it is not possible. But I was allowed to show them a passage in the scriptures, th e text I provided was D&C 88:118. It talks about being there for the poor. Well, I think that brings up an interesting question.What are the scriptures talking about here? That is where the text begins to get interesting. It talks about how we can feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and provide for the widows.This is a righteous judgment that I have spoken of before. I can see the reasons why the poor and the needy are to be cared for. So if we put our minds to it, we can find a way to solve this problem.Now the text goes on to say that we should provide for the widow. We can start to get some new thought patterns about how we can go about providing for the widow. It is just a matter of creating ways in which we can serve the widows. We need to be taught to go out there and serve the poor and widows.The text will bring us back to the text of D&C because it is the context in which we will go into the teaching. Those who are seeking an answer, will find it after they have gone through the teaching.Study the Bible and give some thought to what may be bothering you and what questions you may have in your life.
